Their Story

Commander Jones was referred to C4H by the DC VA Hospital to seek out her new companion animal. Commander Jones was U.S. Navy Nurse Practitioner for 22 years. She currently works as a consultant for local hospitals, trying to improve the lives of her fellow veterans. Before enrolling in to the C4H Match Program, Commander Jones was a bit skeptical of owning a pet, but needed some one to keep her company.

Pattington is a two-year old Shitzu mix that was surrendered to the Washington Animal Rescue League.

I knew I loved him when I first laid eyes on him! He is such a blessing in my life...the C4H organization is so wonderful. Now, Pattington and I will have "Mom and Son Friday", every Friday. I just cannot say enough about him...he's such a blessing to me.
