After several years and a wonderful Board of Directors, volunteers, and partnerships, Companions For Heroes will finally go live with its services on October 1, 2009! Through personal hardships, talks with Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and the Washington Animal Rescue League (WWW.WARL.ORG), the Companions For Heroes’ staff established a NEED for our services that no other nonprofit is providing – assisting our nation’s heroes with the long-term affects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and saving a pet from being euthanized.Any and all volunteers are welcome.
